Description

About the locking line

An electromagnetic locking unit specially designed for use in all kinds of safety devices on machines and automatic systems. In the course of its development special attention was given to ensuring a compact design, universal fixing options and an integral acknowledgement signal for the locking function. Theses devices comply fully and reliably with the requirements of Germany’s Accident Prevention Regulations.

Solenoid armatures and lock bolts are led separately in maintenance-free bearings with high resistance to wear. In order to avoid magnetic field dispersions onto the object to be locked the lock bolt is made of non-corrosive, non-magnetic stainless steel. The micro-switches integrated into the aluminium case of the lock bolt indicate the respective position of the lock bolt at the stroke starting position for example before reaching the stroke end position. The locking, i.e. the extending of the lock bolt into the locking position, is performed by an integrated spring. The unlocking, however, i.e. the withdrawing of the locking bolt, is performed by electromagnetic force.
Two functions are distinguished: de-energised locking or unlocking.

The magnetic forces indicated are reached at 90% of the nominal voltage and in warmed up condition. The values for the switching times are valid for nominal voltage, warmed up condition and load with 70% of the magnetic force of the device.

The products are manufactured and tested according to DIN VDE 0580/07.2000.
